The Role of PIs in Judgment Collections: PART TWO

Presented by:
David Hodges, FCI - Past FALI President
(Even if you missed part one last month you will still get a lot out of this presentation!)

About the Topic
“Winning” a judgment against a defendant is often times easier than collecting on that judgment.  The process of collecting on a judgment can be tedious and time consuming; especially when the judgment debtor takes steps to conceal assets.  This is where private investigators can play an important role in the process.

David will discuss the bulleted items below:

· What to stay away from because it means trouble
How to structure your remuneration
What you can do legally
Where to look for clients
The role of bankruptcy
The dangers of purchasing judgments
How to locate assets and determine which assets can be reached

You’ve asked for ways to make more money as a private investigator; well, this is your opportunity…so don’t miss it!

About the Speaker
David Hodges is the president of Fine Tooth Comb Investigations, Inc. and a phenomenal speaker.  Corporate fraud cases have been his specialty for over 28 years. His Business degree is from the University of Florida, along with many years of experience running businesses has given him the inside track to determining what happened and when it happened and who got rich for the wrong reasons. David has been very involved legislatively, and has considerable experience in construction and public corruption cases. These include complaints against professionals in construction, engineering, and architectural fields, as well as public records law violations and Ethics complaints against elected officials.

David served in the U.S. Navy. In Vietnam, he was the construction materials supplier to the SeaBee’s for the construction of a world record 6,000 houses in one year, and received the Navy Achievement Medal for professionalism in his performance of duties. He is a Past President of FALI, a past Board member of the Florida Board of Certified Investigators, and past Vice President of the Jacksonville Chapter Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He has spent over 28 years assisting creditors with judgment collection.

I encourage all investigators, members and guests, to attend as this will be a highly informative presentation.
