A message from Area Director Kelly Pennington:
We're trying a new location this month!

Since the Orlando Area covers investigators from many different counties let's try a new location, north of downtown to better serve those on that side of the Orlando Area for awhile.  Liam Fitzpatrick's has a small private meeting room with its own private bar. Depending on the opinions of the members we can mix up the locations in the future to try to cover the entire area. If you know of any good locations let me know. Click HERE for the link to Liam's

Guest Speaker:
Dennis Root

The importance of timeline development for investigations.

The timeline is a concept thoroughly understood by most professional investigators. Unfortunately, this concept is rarely explained correctly to representing counsel let alone used effectively at trial. During our meeting, Dennis will share the impact a comprehensive timeline had on winning two different controversial cases. He will share case studies of the George Zimmerman and Seth Adams cases and answer attendee's questions regarding these matters.

About the Speaker:

Dennis is the Principal at Dennis Root & Associates, Inc., an expert consultant, professional investigations, and specialized training firm. He is a judicially recognized expert for investigations and the use of force by police and for self-defense. His area of expertise has him working cases across the United States, and he has appeared on CNN, HLN, and many national and local news media programs. Dennis has served as the lead investigator or testifying expert for the well-publicized cases involving George Zimmerman (FL) and Micah LeMaster (WV), and Seth Adams (FL). Dennis has more than 27 years of law enforcement experience and regularly provides force-related training for law enforcement, professional investigators, and private individuals. During his law enforcement career, Dennis’ duties included road patrol, traffic, canine, detective, internal affairs, and training.
